Here for the Festival of Words

by nalo

Blessings to the folks who picked me up at the Regina airport around midnight local time and drove me the 50 minutes or so to Moose Jaw. One of them had made the trip twice that evening. She'd been at the airport for the flight I'd missed.

I'm a day early for the Festival of Words. My plan is to recover from the Gravol, the cricked neck and the achiness caused by cramped travel and airport food, write a bit, then get out a bit to get a sense of the city. On the writing front, I didn't make it to 10,000 words last night after all; my laptop ran out of juice, and the Calgary airport didn't have electrical outlets for travelers to use. And you know, I didn't much mind. I was tired. I'm past the 9,000 word mark, though.
